So let's start with: Borderlands 2 came out.
Aaaaand, I lied. Bad news first. Borderlands 2, so far, is a bit of a disappointment. It hasn't made hardly any headway since the first game and I seriously feel like I'm playing the same thing but with worse guns.
Don't get me wrong, Borderlands 2 is fun but it's still glitchy, it still takes forever to render anything (which shouldn't happen considering everything is cel-shaded and uses low res textures), and splitscreen is still nearly impossible to play. If one player, during a splitscreen game, goes into their menu the other player's screen will suffer from horrible framerate issues. WHY DOES THIS HAPPEN GEARBOX!?
Seriously though, why doesn't Gearbox focus a little more on the technical side of the game instead of shipping another near broken game...
But I digress, I enjoy playing BL2 and I will play it to the end simply because it is a good shooter. Buy it. You won't regret it. It's a ton of fun, especially if you're playing with your own friends.
Also in Borderlands 2 news, Gearbox, the developer, was caught using a plagiarized image on their reversible box art. Apparently the original artist had seen the image (since is a Borderlands fan) and reached out via Twitter stating that he was not angry but disappointed. Randy Pitchford, of Gearbox, also reached out and admitted the mistake and insisted that the issue be solved legitimately instead of a simple, "hey, we're sorry" statement. Check out the full story via Gamespot HERE.
However this makes you feel is important and speak up, because plagiarism is WRONG, regardless of the intention. Chat with me on Twitter about it?
NEXT!!!
Phantasy Star Online 2 is coming out for the Playstation Vita next year! This is pretty cool because, I believe, this will be the first MMO for a handheld (please correct me if I'm wrong). From the articles I've read and videos I've seen it runs really smooth and the integration is really spot on. If you're at all a fan of MMO titles or RPG titles, Phantasy Star Online 2 is a free-to-play game that is one among a select few that pushes the boundaries of F2P gaming.
This week's releases include the very must anticipated Mists of Pandaria expansion to the ever-popular World of Warcraft. You could go play that, OR you could play a better MMO and get Guild Wars 2. On a serious side Mists of Pandaria brings some much needed changes to the World of Warcraft formula, including a complete graphic overhaul which changes the game from its Nintendo 64 style graphics to something more around the lines of late Gamecube. Also the level cap was raised to 90, as well as other important gameplay additions including: new instances, a new playable race, and new areas.
Another release is Dead or Alive 5.
Oh who am I kidding, I don't even have anything to say about DOA5 ._.
Thanks for reading another post!!
