Can you really trust critics though? I really have to point out that this game was made by Arkane...

You can blame BioShock 2 on them, by the way.

Dishonored has done extremely well critically, but is it really worth it? The gameplay looks good and the premise is beyond interesting but I can't help but feel it may be stale. With so many games releasing, does the 60$ price tag justify it? I'm sick and tired of games that I can beat within two days. The length of games is really concerning, and I hope Dishonored does not follow this pattern.

Also, interestingly enough, Dead or Alive 5 has done relatively well critically.

And to that I must confess; as much as I dislike the critic mentality it really is unavoidable when making a decision to purchase. If a game does relatively well across the board then it's generally a safe bet that the game is enjoyable.

Also, XCOM: Enemy Unknown by Firaxis Games releases with Dishonored on 10/09/12. I played the demo.

Eh.

It was okay.

I was expecting more. But maybe the demo doesn't do the game justice. I really want to like it and I'm going to give it another shot. I promise. And when I do I shall post here with how I feel about it.
